Spyridoula Ntani has studied Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and she went on to complete a Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Surrey in UK.

She has worked as a social researcher on a series of projects in Greece about the assessment and promotion of quality health care (National School of Public Health) and the improvement of access to mental health care services (Hellenic Military Academy).  

She has also participated in qualitative field studies on fundamental rights (EU Agency for Fundamental Rights) and on a project aiming at combating discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity (Research Centre for Gender Equality). She is also a member of the voluntary team of the 11528 helpline that offers information and support for gender identity and sexual orientation issues. 

Her research interests include the study of the psychological, social and political aspects of the economic crisis with emphasis on political participation and the development of extreme ideologies (Panteion University). 

She has also taught modules on Social Psychology, Health Psychology and Research Methods at different Universities in Greece.
